Playa Conchal may be the nicest beach in all of Costa Rica.  The north end of the beach (which is a great snorkeling spot) is made up of soft crushed shells.  As you walk south down the beach, the shells gradually turn into beautiful white sand.  Although many people drive on the beach from Brasilito (and many get stuck in the sand) to get to Playa Conchal, we recommend that you walk from Brasilito (unless you are fortunate enough to be staying at the Paradisus Playa Conchal Beach Resort, which has direct access to this fabulous beach.
